eLive Recruit Training: F/S Grant

Admissions counselor Matt Adams was awarded a Faculty Staff grant for Admissions staff to attend the eLive Recruit Training in New Orleans in April 2019. Ellucian Recruit is the software system that NWCCD uses to communicate with, track, and recruit students. This training allows Sheridan College’s Admissions personnel to continue to be the regional leader in recruiting students.

One of the perks of going to the training in New Orleans is that SC Admissions personnel had free access to the engineering experts at Ellucian. These experts spent multiple hours with SC staff to get several ongoing technical issues fixed, and were instrumental in implementing the new website front end (WFE) where Sheridan College students apply. The usual cost for such technical support runs around $300/hour, making this a very cost effective trip.

The ultimate goal of this training was to improve recruitment of students and increase enrollment. Students will now have a more personal, helpful, and technologically savvy communication experience. Sheridan College Admissions staff are anxious to use the new technology to maintain our competitive edge in the region!
