Hannah is one of our graduating Student Partners. She has taken full advantage of all Sheridan College Foundation has to offer, earning scholarships, participating as a Student Partner and participating in the Scott Internship program with non-profit Rooted in Wyoming.

Where are you from? Lander, WY
What is your job title and where do you work? In Sheridan, I am the intern at the non-profit Rooted in Wyoming and also have some research projects at the college under Dr. Ami Erickson. In my hometown of Lander, I work at Sprouts greenhouse.
What is your current major? Horticulture Science
What are your goals? Where do you see yourself in 5 years? I plan to attend UW to get my bachelors in Agroecology. I would love to do an internship managing an estate gardens or a nursery. I also would like to continue helping on the family ranch.
When you need a break from academics…. I love getting outside for a hike or backpacking. I also enjoy doing some gardening to decompress.
My scholarships are important to me because…. I’m so thankful for the scholarships I’ve received as they are helping me achieve my goal of getting through college without taking out student loans.
What do you love most about Sheridan College? I love the community feeling. Everyone is very friendly, and I’ve met many amazing people. All my instructors have been so amazing and helpful and I feel like they want me to succeed. Sheridan is a beautiful town and a great place to go to school!
How has being a Student Partner for the Sheridan College Foundation benefited you? The Student Partners program is a wonderful community builder and networking experience. It’s pushed me to talk to different people and has provided me with many amazing opportunities! I’ve enjoyed the speakers at the leadership breakfasts and have learned important lessons from them. I appreciate all the work the Foundation does for students and the college. I love going in the Foundation office as I know I’ll be met with smiles and friendly faces. I love being part of the Student Partner family!
